Funding for High School and Post-Secondary Students
Miziwe Biik has a number of funding options available for High School and Post-Secondary students. Click on the link below to read more and find out how to apply.
Some options have no deadline for applications. Email Reception@miziwebiik.com to book an appointment with an Employment Specialist to begin the funding application.

Full Time Post Secondary Students
Receive a $1500 cheque + transportation support
Post-Secondary students are eligible to receive funding for both transportation and books. Students must be in classes for 3 or more days to be eligible for monthly TTC transportation.
To receive funding, email the following items to Reception@miziwebiik.com. Afterwards an Employment Specialist will touch base with you about the funding application process.
- Miziwe Biik Registration form
- Verification of Indigenous ancestry
- Copy of student ID card
- Current class timetable (minimum of 2 courses per semester)
- Verification of enrolment
- Book list
Part-time Post-Secondary Students
Receive a $750 cheque plus transportation (if eligible) support after submitting an application with an Employment Specialist. Please include all items (listed above) in your application.
Post-Secondary & Apprentice Bursary – Now Closed
This bursary is for Indigenous students, living in the GTA, currently enrolled in a post-secondary university, college, or apprenticeship.
