Job Description:

Length of term: 4 months January – April 2025

 

Hybrid/Remote: This co-op opportunity is voluntarily in person, remote or hybrid.  If you decide remote or hybrid, you will be required to work within the province. Remote work outside of Canada will not be a possibility.

 

Enterprise Risk Management provides 2nd line oversight to Corporate Functions and facilitates Risk Management reporting. As a Risk Analyst Co-op, you will complete various records management activities, including 2nd line risk monitoring and reporting. You will also assist in the effective and efficient execution of the Risk Management Framework globally.

 

Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Risk Management, the Risk Management, Co-op will have an opportunity to collaborate and gain exposure to our teams across the Enterprise.

 

What will you do?

  • Complete various records and data management activities
  • Update and enhance job aids and reporting tools
  • Support with the identification, review and development of management actions for risk issues
  • Support risk reporting as required

 

What do you need to succeed?

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree; preferably in systems engineering, business, finance or related discipline
  • Strong research skills and ability to summarize results through reporting
  • Experience in Risk Management and/or Compliance
  • Experience in process improvement and efficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)

 

What are the nice to haves?

  • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint
  • Experience using visualization tools, e.g., Tableau
  • 2-3 prior internships in project/risk management or process improvement roles

 

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for.  The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.

 

Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
