ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Enactus Canada is expanding our team and looking for a Senior Manager, Leadership Development & Inclusion Initiatives to join our National Office in downtown Toronto on an 18-month contract. This position is a hybrid position with required occasional travel to visit post-secondary institutions across Canada and to support our regional and national gatherings.

As Senior Manager, Leadership Development & Inclusion Initiatives, you will support the development and execution of the Enactus leadership education program and events, as well as foster outreach, engagement and team expansion in Indigenous, rural, and northern communities across Canada.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

As Senior Manager, Leadership Development & Inclusion Initiatives, your primary responsibility will be to manage the day-to-day operations and continued development, and implementation of programs delivered by Enactus Canada on college and university campuses and virtually. You will also look to expand our programming in Indigenous, rural, and northern communities and support inclusion initiatives and education. Specifically, duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and deliver on training and development strategies to improve the quality of Enactus education programs.
  • Respond to requests and/or issues from Enactus’ students, faculty and administrators and ensure that participating institutions continue to have a positive experience.
  • Develop and collaborate with individuals and organizations internally and externally to ensure the Enactus learning program offers current, relevant and innovative programs, and measure and report on program impact.
  • Build reciprocal and respectful partnerships with Indigenous communities and organizations. This position is responsible for providing assistance in identifying, enhancing and developing programs and services that meet the needs of Indigenous students.
  • Represent and promote Enactus Canada building partnerships with Indigenous communities and organizations, academic institutions and administration to encourage student participation in Enactus programs.
  • Within a portfolio of academic institution accounts, manage and develop relationships with students, faculty and administration among other key community stakeholder groups.
  • Travel within Canada as necessary to fulfill duties.
  • From time-to-time, manage other projects where appropriate and as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or an in-depth knowledge of Indigenous cultures, values, and governance through lived or learned experience.
  • 2+ years related experience working collaboratively with a variety of Indigenous and non-Indigenous students, groups and organizations, or an equivalent combination of training and/or experience may be substituted for the required qualifications.
  • College diploma and/or university undergraduate degree.
  • Participation in the Enactus program while in college or university is an asset.
  • Must have full, valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with diverse cultural groups.
  • Ability to take initiative to participate in a culture of learning, mentoring, and sharing.
