Registered Nurse Hemodialysis

Qualifications include:

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current BLS Certificate required.
• Recent Hemodialysis experience required. Candidates without recent Hemodialysis experience may be considered if they have completed at minimum Nephrology I or equivalent, of the Nephrology Nursing Certificate and there are no qualified applicants.
• Nephrology Nursing Certificate preferred. Enrolled in Nephrology Nursing Certificate program upon hire with successful completion required within 3 years may be substituted if there are no qualified applicants preferred.
• Experience with Windows 2000 and computer order entry an asset.
• Knowledge of Baxter dialysis equipment an advantage
• Excellent assessment skills required.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Satisfactory attendance record.

Hours of Work: Must be available for all three shifts, 8 and 12 hours shifts (days/evenings) including weekends and holidays at the main hospital site and off site satellite unit. On call as required.
