Maintenance Personnel

Nishnawbe Homes Inc. is a growing Non Profit corporation that provides affordable housing in downtown Toronto.  We are committed to assisting the Aboriginal community with housing needs.  Nishnawbe Homes Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Personnel to support the Maintenance team to maintain the 22 properties in Nishnawbe Homes portfolio.

DUTIES:

• To work with the Nishnawbe Homes Maintenance team to ensure safety of the units, common areas and exteriors of multiple NHI properties;
• Participate with the turnover of units between tenants;
• Maintain seasonal grounds keeping for designated properties (grass cutting, snow clearing)
• Support third party services for NHI properties
• Follow NHI’s COVID Plan and Vaccine protocols for all staff and tenants;
• Be courteous, polite and helpful to all staff, tenants, contractors and visitors;
• Be a contributing member of  Nishnawbe Homes management team;
• Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to work independently and in a team setting;
• Must be punctual, reliable and respectful;
• Must be able to lift 50lbs;
• Must adhere to keeping absolute confidentiality;
• Having experience with project management an asset
• G license, insured and in good standing is an asset. A Drivers Abstract will be needed;

This position is within a unionized environment and the pay structure follows the CA.
