Job Description
Objective:
To attract, hire, and successfully orient highly skilled and engaged talents by the implementation of strategic recruitment and selection processes; as well as contributing to HR projects that support the strategic goals of the OFIFC.

- Successful hiring based on the workforce plan resulted from strong full-cycle recruitment and selection process; and
- Strong contribution to HR projects demonstrated in continuous improvement of the HR department’s efficiency.

- Knowledge of recruitment-related metrics
Education/Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources management, organizational psychology or another relevant discipline, and/or equivalent professional experience
- Over 1, up to and including 3 years experience in a similar role preferably some within an Indigenous organization
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Selection (45%):
- Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, campaigns and internet sites;
- Maintains ATS, recruiter, employment agency, and related invoices;
- Coordinates screening calls, organizing interviews, collecting assessments
- Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details using Applicant Tracking System
- Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Maintains job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements
- Works with Human Resources Director to confirm recruiting requirements by reviewing organization plans and current/future vacancies.

Onboarding (20%)
- Issues employment contract, coordinate with new supervisor for orientation
- Coordinates with Technical Support to arrange for equipment
- Delivers Human Resources orientation sessions
- Ensures Criminal Record Checks and Vulnerable Safety Checks completed

Special Projects (30%)
- Partners with HR advisor in special projects in all functional areas of HR including but not limited to recruitment, employment, onboarding, compensation, benefits, performance management, training, employee relations, and payroll;

HR Analytics (5%)
- Supports HR advisor in collecting and presenting current trends related to labour market and compensation practices;
