Job Description
Hays Specialist Recruitment has partnered with a government organization based in Toronto, ON. We are seeking an Administrator, Indigenous Initiatives to join their team for a 6-month contract. This position is full time hours, and you can work on a Hybrid basis.
Your new role:
- Provide administrative assistance in support of initiatives, programs, processes and projects
- You will be managing calendars, setting up engagement appointments and coordinating meetings
- Preparation, review, processing and distribution of correspondence, meeting minutes, presentations and reports.
- Prepares and processes various documents and data
- Drafts correspondence, composes communications
- Monitor and update /database
- Ensures that the tracking and following up of requests is maintained
- Proofread documents
- Assist in the development and implementation new tools and procedures for improvement
What you need to succeed:
- 2+ years of experience of administrative experience
- Candidates who self-identify as indigenous are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
